Now Open
In this joint effort, the Fond du Lac Evening Lions and the Van Dyne Lions polled their
resources and have added a new service to area residents.

Through a grant for the Lions Clubs International Foundation and contributions from
surrounding Lions Clubs and numerous individuals, the two clubs have conceived and built
the WestLake Lions Medical Equipment Loan Locker.
Area residents who are in need of a temporary loan of medical equipment can come to the locker and pick up equipment free of charge and return it when they have finished with its use. The locker is open two days per week; Tuesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. It is located on the Van Dyne Lions Club Park at 700 E. Lone Elm Rd., Van Dyne.

More information can be obtained at the locker's website westlakemedicallocker.org
Our Mission
The Fond du Lac Evening Lions is a group of service minded individuals that donate their time to support needy individuals in our community and those that are less fortunate than ourselves. Our primary service core are those with physical and mental disabilities, such as vision, hearing, diabetes and the cognitively disabled. The club was founded in 1973 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin by the Fond du Lac Noon Lions (1925). Both clubs jointly sponsored the Fond du Lac Lioness Club in 1986 which was forced to disband in 2021. Eight of the Lioness members decided to join our club.

What are Lions about? Here are the eight causes Lions International supports:
-
Childhood Cancer - provide support for the needs of children and families affected by childhood cancer.
-
Diabetes - reduce the prevalence of diabetes and improve quality of life for those living with diabetes.
-
Disaster Relief - meet immediate needs and provide long-term support for communities devastated by natural disasters.
-
Environment - protect the environment to create healthier communities and a more sustainable world.
-
Humanitarian - identify the world’s most crucial needs and provide humanitarian aid where it’s needed most.
-
Hunger - improve food security and access to nutritious food to help alleviate hunger.
-
Vision - help prevent avoidable blindness and improve quality of life for people who are blind or visually impaired.
-
Youth - provide young people with the support they need to make positive choices, lead healthy and productive lives, and become the next great generation of service leaders.
Our Fund Raisers
Our club is known for its great brats and burgers. We host the food concessions for the Central Wisconsin Gun Collector's Show three times per year in October, January and April.
We host two Flea Markets, in March and September, which are held at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds. We welcome vendors from all walks of life to display their wares. If you sell anything including collectibles, crafts, products, rummage and produce, become a vendor at our market.

Fund Raisers Gone By - The Fond du Lac Evening Lions and the Fond du Lac Home Builders Association have had a lasting relationship since 1984. We have been the sole food vendor at the Annual Home and Garden Show since our club's first attempt as serving food. We must have the correct recipe as have been serving for over 25 years at the Home Show. Unfortunately, due to the downturn in the economy, the Home Show food booth, along with the Boat Show food booth and after 23 years of selling roses and decreasing sales of Lions Mints, we have had to give up on these fund raisers.

Our Meetings
We meet the 2nd Wednesday at 6:30 pm, Sept. - May at Sebastian's Steak House. In June we install our officers for the upcoming year.
